Plant and Soil Sciences: Research at the Library - finding BOOKS

Searching for books in the Library

This video will show you how you locate books, either in print or electronic format at the OSU Library. You can start here for searching for books.

Any book we do not own you can request through InterLibrary Loan. A free service at most academic libraries, the OSU Library will retrieve the book for you from another Library and you will be notified when it is available to pick-up. Normally, you can have the book for 30 days. Start here to log into the system and retrieve the form.

Theses/Dissertations

Locating a thesis or dissertation, can be rewarding, since the bibliography can provide additional resources.

The dissertation/theses database, Theses and Dissertations Global, covers both national and international dissertations. If full text is not available for a particular dissertation, you can request it through Interlibrary Loan. The Library will determine if there is a copy to circulate, and will contact you when it arrives for you to pickup from Circulation & Information Desk.

The OSU repository, ShareOK, is being populated with OSU dissertations and theses. You can search by keyword.
