What is Library 101?
Library 101 is a free to the public, orientation to the OSU Libraries. It includes a 15-minute walking tour of the Edmon Low Library, followed by a 15-minute introduction to the OSU Library website and library catalog. The Oklahoma State University Library offers Library 101 sessions throughout the school year.
Reservations are not required for Library 101.
OSU faculty may arrange special class tours and other library instruction sessions by contacting their departmental subject-specialist librarian.
OSU Library Tours are intended as a general introduction to the library facilities and services. Librarians walk the tour group through the building while pointing out a variety of services and providing basic information about how to find research materials in the Library. Tours generally last 15 minutes and start at the Circulation and Information Desk on the 1st floor South side of the Edmon Low Library.
OSU Library Online Training is a brief introduction to the OSU Library Catalog. The 15 minute session instruction will cover:
- Author, title and keyword searching
- Holdings statements, format searching, and current periodicals location
- Branch holdings, Government Documents, and microforms
