Cunningham Architecture Library: Journal and Magazine Subscriptions

Access Information

  • The current issues of the magazines and journals listed in the physical subscription section cannot be loaned. They can be used in the Architecture Library and scanned for personal use outside of the library.


  • The e-subscriptions are hyperlinked either through the OSU library catalog or directly to their access point.

  • To access the resources off of campus or on a personal device not connected to Eduroam:

    • Select the journal hyperlink, then select the link for the journal on the catalog page, and enter your Okey account information (name.name@okstate.edu & password).

    • Other modes to connect to the resources include: logging on to the OSU wi-fi network (Eduroam) on your personal device, using a university-issued device on campus, or utilizing the OSU VPN software available on the library homepage (library.okstate.edu). Click the OSU VPN link under the search bar to download the software.

Abitare | Founded in 1961 by Piera Peroni Abitare magazine has crossed the history of costume, architecture, and design, internationally, following in its pages the evolution of our ways of life and how we inhabit places. Abitare, published monthly in Milan, Italy, is one of the world's best-known design magazines. 


Architectural Record | Architectural Record is a US-based monthly magazine dedicated to architecture and interior design. 

Digital Access - 1891-Current

Classist | Classicist is an annual, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the classical tradition in architecture and the allied arts. Featuring professional and student portfolios as well as academic articles authored by leaders in the field, this beautiful, color-illustrated journal serves as a forum for contemporary, classical practice as well as a source of inspiration and information for students, practitioners, teachers, patrons, and enthusiasts.

Digital Access - 2008-2020

Doma | DOMa is a new magazine for contemporary architecture. Published three times a year and focusing on process rather than outcome, it presents works curated by their respective architects.


GA Document | GA Document presents the finest in international design, focusing on architecture that expresses our time and striving to record the history of contemporary architecture. International scholars and critics provide insightful texts to further inform the reader of the most up-to-date ideas and events in the profession.


GA Houses | GA Houses documents outstanding new residential architecture from all over the world. Included in each issue also are retrospective looks at residential works of the past which are now considered epoch-making.


Japan Architect | Forward thinking is a quarterly architectural magazine from Japan that tackles a diverse range of themes, movements, and discussions in the fields of Japanese architecture and urbanism. (Currently 2 years behind on publication)


Landscape Architecture Magazine | Founded in 1910, Landscape Architecture Magazine (LAM) is the monthly magazine of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). It is the magazine of record for the landscape architecture profession in North America.


LA+ | LA+ (Landscape Architecture Plus) from the University of Pennsylvania School of Design draws out landscape architecture's interdisciplinary potential, bringing readers a rich collection of contemporary thinkers and designers in two lavishly illustrated issues annually.


Log | Founded in 2003, Log is an independent triannual journal on architecture and the contemporary city that presents criticism and commentary in a literary format designed to resist the seductive power of the image in media while identifying and elaborating the central concerns of architectural thinking and production today.


Metal Architecture | Metal Architecture is the leading authority on the use of metal in architectural applications and building design, educating architects, design professionals and engineers engaged in new construction, retrofit, renovation and modernization of buildings. Publishes monthly.


Metropolis | Metropolis Magazine is a national trade magazine published bi-monthly for architects and designers that covers architecture, culture, and design. It publishes content on topics such as architecture, interior design, product design, graphic design, social responsibility, planning, and preservation. published in New York, United States.

Perspecta | The Yale Architectural Journal is a peer-reviewed academic journal published since 1952 by the Yale School of Architecture and distributed by the MIT Press. Graduate students are competitively chosen to edit each issue. It is the oldest architectural journal of its kind in the United States.

Digital Access - 1952-2017

Retrospecta | Retrospecta is the annual journal of student work at the Yale School of Architecture. Part historical record, part monograph, Retrospecta seeks to capture and record the current life of the school. Documenting one academic year, each issue contains exemplary work from both the design studios and support courses.


Texas Architect | Published bimonthly, Texas Architect informs a national readership about new work by members of the Texas Society of Architects and other practitioners with ties to Texas.


topos  | topos magazine is the leading international and interdisciplinary review for landscape architecture, urban design, and urban development. topos is published quarterly.
