Intro

This guide is designed for new researchers who need to find articles, sources, and get started with research in topics related to language and literature.

To place a request for audio or visual material, such as a CD, DVD, or an audiobook, click on the "Other (Free Text)" link under "New Request." This will load the request form.  Required information is indicated by a red *. However, the more information you provide the more likely it is that we will be able to locate the item you are looking for.  In the Notes field, please indicate the format of what you are requesting, such as CD, DVD, or audiobook.  This is particularly helpful for titles that come in multiple formats.  When you have finished filling out the request form click on the "submit request" button at the bottom of the form.  You will be redirected to the Interlibrary Services Main Menu.

If the item you are requesting is owned by the OSU Edmon Low Library, it will be pulled and placed on hold at the Circulation and Information Desk for you for one week.  You will receive an email informing you that is available for pick-up.

If the item is not owned by our library, we will submit a request to our extensive network of lending partners.  We will notify you when the item arrives and it will be available at the Circulation and Information Desk.

If some reason we are unable to borrow the requested item, you will receive an email informing you of this fact as well as supplying a reason why we were unable to retrieve it.

Overdue Interlibrary Services materials will be handled similar to over Recall materials.  The fine for Interlibrary Services materials is $5.00 per day, per item with no grace periods. Interlibrary Services privileges may be suspended when books are not returned by the due date.
