Basic Cuttering

The Cutter number helps to ensure that each book has a unique identification number. This guide gives instructions for basic Cuttering.

  1. Corporate Authors and Conferences (110 and 111 tags)
  1. Highlight the first word of the 110 or 111 field
  2. Use the macro
  3. For corporate bodies, use a work mark
  4. For conferences (meetings, symposia, etc.) DO NOT use a work mark (these will have a ≠d date in the field)
  • Ex.:     110|2|-|    International Business Machines Corporation [corporate body]
