Scopus: Comparing publications
Sources search menu
Selecting "Sources" from the top menu bar brings up a search menu that allows selection of the journals by subject area. Filters are available for journals according to CiteScore ranking, source type (journal, book series, etc), selection by year and Open Access only journals.
Publication Source comparison
Select the "Compare Sources" button in the upper right hand corner of the main search page to generate a chart or table of metrics for up to 10 publications. Publications can be selected for a given subject area or for search terms and displayed by year for CiteScore, SJR (SCImago journal rank), SNIP (Source normalized impact per paper), number of citations, number of documents, percent of published documents not cited or percent of publications that are reviews. Results can be emailed, printed or exported as a CSV file or as a zipped image file.
Comparing publication sources
Select source subject area in the search field at the top. CiteScore is calculated base on average citations per document. Number of citations received by a journal in one year for documents published in the three previous years i.e. CiteScore 2016 = Citations in 2016/Number of documents published in 2013, 2014, 2015
