Chemistry REU: Databases for Finding Articles


Science Direct is the full text database of more than 1,000 Elsevier Science journals in the life, physical, medical, technical, and social sciences.  It is updated daily.  May be searched by keyword, author name, journal name, institutions, etc.
Web of Science is a single destination to access a reliable, integrated, multidisciplinary research.  A Thomson/Reuters product.  It is updated weekly.  May be search by keyword, author name, institutions, etc.
SciFinder produced by Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), is the most comprehensive database for the chemical literature (ex: journal article), as well as chemical substances and reactions. You can search by topic, author, and substances by name or CAS Registry Number, OR use the editor to draw chemical structures, substructures, or reactions.
It is a core research tool for chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, nanotechnology, physics, environmental science and other science and engineering disciplines.
