Bonnie Cain-Wood, she/her/hers
Manager & Department Head

Bonnie loves sunshine, movies, the color yellow, and being a redhead. She maintains close ties to her alma mater, Oklahoma State University, where she earned a B.S. in environmental science and a M.S. in mass communications.

Bonnie stumbled upon a career in public relations after a life-changing afternoon washing dirt. She has worked in communications for over 20 years, specializing in education, libraries and the arts. Bonnie became accredited in public relations in 2007. Now, she enjoys mentoring students and sharing her skills and experience with others.

Nina Thornton, she/her/hers
Multimedia Producer & Assistant Department Head

Nina Thornton is an award-winning Multimedia Producer and Manager of Visual Communications with experience working in K-12 and higher education industries. Because “rodie” wasn’t an option as a major, Nina chose to explore the video production industry. Nina earned her bachelor’s degree in media studies with a focus on production technology from Radford University and is skilled in video production, photography, live video streaming and podcast production.

Jacob Jackson, they/them 
Senior Communication Specialist

Jacob Jackson is a houseplant hobbyist, fashion fiend, and alliteration aficionado who is always picking up a new hobby or trying something new. A lifelong interest in storytelling and visual communication led Jacob to earn a bachelor's degree in Strategic Communication, with a minor in creative nonfiction, from Oklahoma State University. During those studies, Jacob interned at OSU Library Communication Services as the OOHRP Digital Storytelling Intern and enjoyed it so much that they HAD to return, when offered the opportunity in April 2022.

Libby Whitlow, she/her/hers
Graduate Research Assistant 

Libby Whitlow is the Graduate Research Assistant for the Communications department at Edmon Low Library. She loves reading, Meg Ryan movies, doing the Wordle, and strawberry mochi. Libby has loved her time here at the Library since joining the team fall of 2021.

Jade joined the Library Communications team in August of 2022.

Mariah Washington
Event Communications Intern

Mariah is a junior from Denver! She is studying strategic communications and has a minor of business sustainability! She loves reading, watching movies and cooking in her free. She also has a passion for animals and protecting the environment!!

Kendall McGhee
Graphic Design Intern

Kendall is a graphic design senior who joined the team in fall 2024. 

Maddie Rogers
Electronic Communications Intern

Maddie is a junior at OSU studying strategic communications, Spanish and Chinese. In addition to languages, she loves (in no particular order): reading, roller skating, retro clothes, Insomnia cookies, semicolons, the Oxford comma, putting her music on shuffle and getting whiplash from the different genres, and the 2007 hit movie Surf’s Up (though Disney movies, Wes Anderson movies, and cheesy rom-coms are up there too).
