Using Zoom

Zoom is an application used to conduct meetings on the web. It includes a variety of options such as audio, video, telephone call-in options, chat, non-verbal feedback buttons, etc. It also allows for the recording of sessions so they can be shared afterwards.


Securing Your Zoom Experience

Do...

  • Enable the Waiting Room setting.
  • Limit who you share meeting information with.
  • Disable automatic screen sharing for all participants.

Don't...

  • Use your Personal Meeting ID (PMI) to host public meetings.
  • Allow participants to automatically share their screen.
  • Share meeting links and/or passwords publicly.

Maybe...

  • Lock the meeting.
  • Require a password.
  • Turn off annotation.
  • Disable chat/private chat.
  • Turn off or limit file transfer.
