Communication Services: How We Can Help
Promotions
Communication Services can help with both internal and external promotions of events, collections, services and other projects. It is vital to involve Communication Services at the earliest opportunity, to provide ample time and to communicate with the team throughout the process. We have three levels of promotional packages available and additional items will be considered by request.

Training
We provide both scheduled and on-demand training on a variety of topics related to communications and branding. Watch “In the Loop” for scheduled sessions. If you have suggestions for scheduled sessions or requests for on-demand training, contact Bonnie.
Media Relations
The quickest way for a reporter to find what they need is often to start with Library Communication Services. The Manager can quickly put them in contact with the most appropriate source. If you speak with the media, please let Bonnie know immediately.

Video
Together, ITLE and Library Communication Services can help you with your video production needs. Visit with Nina about your video needs to determine the best solution.
Please note: A recording permission form must be filled out for EVERY person who appears in any video prior to publishing on Library channels. Please contact Nina Thornton at nina.thornton@okstate.edu for the recording permission form.
Social Media
Communication Services oversees the organization-level social media accounts. If you have content (photos, videos, status, links, events) to share on one of these accounts, let us know or complete our social media content form.
If you oversee one of our many department-level social media accounts, you should participate in the Library’s Social Media Manager Group. Contact Bonnie for details. If you’d like to launch a new social media account, visit with Bonnie about how to submit a proposal to the Library Executive Council.

The following are average times. Please allow for these minimum times and understand production will be influenced by current workflow, specs of your project and response time on delivering required background and reviews.
Flier/Poster/E-invite/Bookmark: 3 weeks
Press Release: 3 weeks
Video: 4 weeks
New Brochure/Handout: 5 weeks
Event: 8 weeks
