Introduction

Discipline-specific data repositories are a great option if available for your discipline or specific research type and topic. These repositories vary greatly in what data types, formats, and content they accept. Several discipline-specific repository options are listed on this page, but there are many other possibilities. Federal Funding Agency Repositories

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) maintain their own data repositories, which may be good choices for researchers funded by these agencies. Links to some helpful information about each repository are provided below.
