This class guide is intended for students enrolled in SC (Strategic Communication) 3953. Spring 2017 Class Clients
Student Teams will conduct secondary and primary research on behalf of one of two clients:
Bryn Walker - a line of women’s fashion sold in private label boutiques and at department stores such as Dillard’s.
1907 Meat Co. - a Stillwater-based butcher/restaurant concept that specializes in locally sourced beef for cooking at home and in their restaurant.
Ocean Spray - the cranberry cooperative that sells cranberry and cranberry products in grocery stores nation-wide.
The research will be in support of creating an integrated strategic communication campaign to meet the following marketing communication objectives:
Bryn Walker

Increase brand awareness and purchase interest for the Bryn Walker label among college women 18-25 in the Midwest and South.

Drive traffic and trial to Dillard’s locations that carry the Bryn Walker line.
1907 Meat Co

Create awareness for 1907 Meat Co. among local/regional consumers.

Educate local consumers on the benefits of farm-to-table and locally sourced meat products.

Build traffic for the 1907 Meat Co. location in Stillwater in both the restaurant and butcher shop.
Ocean Spray - to develop a communication plan to drive relevancy of the Ocean Spray brand among Millennials across both food and beverage
