Guidelines/Eligibility
- Completed application submissions are due March 4, 2025.
- There are two categories: underclassmen and upperclassmen. One winner will be selected from each category and will receive $1,500. Awards may not be presented, depending on the quality of the submissions.
- To be eligible to win, applicants must
- Be an enrolled undergraduate at OSU-Stillwater at the time of the application deadline.
- To be eligible for the underclassmen award, the applicant must be classified as a freshman or sophomore (fewer than 60 semester credit hours earned) as of the application deadline
- To be eligible for the upperclassmen award, the applicant must be classified as a junior or senior (60 or more semester credit hours earned) as of the application deadline
- Individuals can submit projects completed as part of a group, but application materials and essay must make your role and responsibilities for the project clear.
- Have completed (or demonstrated significant progress toward completing) a research paper or research-based project for a formal research program (Wentz, Niblack, McNair, OK-LSAMP, FRS, etc.), credit course at OSU or for OSU faculty-mentored research as part of a program or independent study. Projects in all media are encouraged.
- Have completed (or made significant progress toward completing) the project during the application period (Spring 2024, Summer 2024, Fall 2024, Spring 2025)
- Submit the following by application deadline: application form (including unofficial transcript), faculty support form, project with bibliography, and reflective essay.
- Be an enrolled undergraduate at OSU-Stillwater at the time of the application deadline.
