American Indian Resources: Reference Books by Geographic Areas
This is an introductory guide to resources for Native American Studies. Some, but not all, of these are available through the Edmon Low Library, Oklahoma State University, Stillwater.
Plains Indians have long occupied a special place in the American imagination. The Guide includes an overview of Plains peoples' histories and cultures, major scholarly questions, important people and places, a chronology of events, and annotated bibliographies.
Third edition of Tiller's Guide. Economic attainments of 568 Indian tribes and Alaskan Native villages in thirty-three states. Information on contemporary tribal economies, with profiles of each tribe's history and culture and detailed information about their communities, natural resources, enterprises, environmental concerns, etc.
