Editing the item record

Editing the Item Record-Main Book

1. The material type should match the piece. There are tens of options, ranging from book-video games. Choose the most appropriate classification, based on the description from the bib record.

2. The item policy should be based upon the location and lending policy for that item. The vast majority of the time, it will be book.

3. Select whether or not the item is magnetic. Unless it is a floppy disk, reel of film, or a stack of credit cards, it is most likely not.

4. Add in the correct number of pieces.

5. Add the primary enumeration (if any) to Enumeration A, and the secondary to Enumeration B.
