There are several excellent sources for digitized historical maps.

For historical topographic maps from the United States Geological Survey, use TopoView.

Finding Maps in BOSS

Using BOSS, the library's catalog, you can search for maps not only in our collection at OSU, but from several other sources as well. A good starting search is simply the name of the place you're looking for a map of.

For example, a search for "tulsa" in BOSS results in the following.

To show only maps, click on Show More under Resource Type. Click the checkbox next to Maps, then click Apply Filters.

From there you can narrow your search further using the options on the left, such as year created and subject. To narrow the list to maps available online, click Full Text Online under Availability. To narrow the list to only physical maps located in the library, click Available in the Library
