Serials Review Projects: OSU Trends

The rising cost of ongoing commitments (serials and databases) limits spending on other materials, especially books. The percentage of the OSU library's materials budget devoted to books has decreased from 14% in fiscal year 2012 to 6% in fiscal year 2019.

In the following graphs, the listed spending on books includes both print books and e-books. Periodicals includes both online and print journals, both individual subscriptions and packages.
