Payment Methods and Manual Charges

Each institution has its own lists of manual charges and payment methods.  A member from the Folio Implementation Team has already coordinated with you on these settings.  If you need to change either of these, please contact the Folio Implementation Team.

Patron Blocks

Patron Blocks are organized into 1) Conditions, 2) Limits, and 3) Templates.

  1. Conditions are shared by all institutions.  Currently, patron can be blocked because a) they have checked out the maximum number of items allowed or b) they have reached the maximum number of lost items or c) they have reached their maximum fee/fine balance.  Other possible conditions may include blocking because of overdue items overdue recalls.
  2. Limits are different for each user group, and each institution can choose the maximum number of a) items charged out, b) items lost, c) items overdue, and d) the maximum fee/fine balance.  Contact the Folio Implementation Team for more information.
  3. Templates can create special blocks not covered under Limits and Conditions.  An example would be a block from the bursar or a block based on demerits.
