Experts Directory: Spears School of Business
Activity input
Below you will find a table of activity types specific to Spears reporting, and the location to put them in your Experts Directory profile. For a definition of all activity types and a broader list of activities, please see the What Goes Where page.
- It is not necessary to add Spears journal code, rating, or department; it will be added automatically if it is on the Spears list and you choose the journal from the drop down menu when adding a new article
- If a publication has already been linked to your profile from an external source such as Scopus or Dimensions, you will need to click on the PLUS icon to create a manual record and add additional information that does not come in automatically, such as acceptance date.
- If co-author is OSU professor, their name will be suggested when you enter it. Click Yes to confirm.
- If you have recorded articles previously accepted and they have now been published, edit the record and change the Status field to “Published” and add a Publication date as well as volume, issue, pages, DOI, etc. if applicable.
- Notes: Publication records come into (are “harvested”) into the Experts Directory system from external sources, including Scopus, Dimensions, SSRN, and others.
- If a user creates a “manual record” for a publication prior to its being harvested from an external source, the system will attempt to group the new record with the manually created one automatically (“deduplicate”), based on the article title, dates, pagination, DOI, and other details.
- It will be the user’s responsibility to update the manual record they created with relevant publication details (such as volume, issue, publication date) after the publication has been published.
- If a user creates a “manual record” after its being harvested from an external source, the user can “claim” the existing publication to add it to their record.
- If the user wishes to add details that may not be included in the external record, such as acceptance date, they may subsequently create a manual record and input this information.
- If a user creates a “manual record” for a publication prior to its being harvested from an external source, the system will attempt to group the new record with the manually created one automatically (“deduplicate”), based on the article title, dates, pagination, DOI, and other details.
